twocents v1.2: Redesign and Web Launch
It's time for a change!
To correspond with iOS 26's Liquid Glass, we kicked off a redesign a few months ago to make sure we'd be ready when the day finally came. We also took this opportunity to rethink our color scheme, typography, and overall aesthetic to make sure everything felt modern, glass-y, and unique.
The original app was modeled after Apollo for Reddit which was an iOS-first Reddit client that I grew to love back when I was a daily Reddit user. However, now that we are on multiple platforms like Android and Web, it became necessary to move away from an iOS-specific design to something more universal.
Our design language is still evolving, and we have more work to do to make sure everything is pixel-perfect. But we're now matching across all platforms, and this gives us a great foundation to build upon.
In addition to the new design, Esra spent the week working on performance improvements, making sure the app is snappy without draining your battery. We learned a lot about profiling with this build.
Finally, we removed our Honor subscription feature. Now that we're funded, we have more time to think about monetization, and we don't want payment to be a barrier to network growth. We will be exploring other options in the future, but in beta, everything is free.
Thank you as always for your support. If you notice any bugs or have design suggestions, please report them through the Submit Feedback button on the User page.
