twocents v1.1-v21: The Privacy Update

changelog

The Privacy Update

For our second post fundraise update we dropped everything to focus on privacy. We know that the information you’re trusting us with is sensitive, and we are unironically trying our best to make sure we do right by you as your data stewards. With this update we wanted to give you more control over what you give us, and we’re working on a privacy Web page that fully explains every piece of data we collect and what we use it for, launching tomorrow.

For tonight and new in v21:

  • You can now fully delete and disconnect brokerage accounts.

  • You can now fully delete crypto wallets.

  • You can also request a full account deletion from settings icon in the user tab, and we will process it and notify you of the account deletion as it happens. As we have no way of contacting you outside the app, we’ll send you a push notification to let you know when the deed is done.

  • You can now edit the account name of any connected bank or brokerage account when you sign up as well as when you review it in the Connections page, so if your account name contains your real name or any identifying information you can scrub it out of our database.

Finally we also added “Chronological” and “Controversial This Week” filters to let you see more than just the posts for today.

What do you want to see for next week? We’ve got a packed roadmap, but I’d like to start incorporating user feedback into our cycle especially if it coincidentally aligns with what we’re going to do anyways.

Thanks for reading,

Andi
